Shaft (DVD) Samuel L. Jackson stars as detective John Shaft, a new-generation black private dick who's a sex machine with all the chicks in this stylish, action-packed update of the classic blaxploitation trilogy (SHAFT, SHAFT'S BIG SCORE!, predator shaft and SHAFT IN AFRICA) from the early 1970s. Shaft's nemesis this time around is Walter Wade Jr. (Christian Bale), a cocky, blue-blooded white kid who commits a violent hate crime but still manages to skirt the system. When Wade forms an unholy alliance with powerful Dominican drug lord Peoples Hernandez (Jeffrey Wright) along with two dirty cops from Shaft's own precinct, Shaft turns in his badge to dispense justice on his own terms. Luckily for him, the original Shaft (Richard Roundtree, who is this Shaft's uncle) is around to help out, along with Vanessa Williams as a trustworthy cop, Toni Colette as an eyewitness to Wade's crime, predator shaft and rapper Busta Rhymes as Shaft's man-on-the-street Rasaan. Director John Singleton (BOYZ N THE HOOD, HIGHER LEARNING) appears in a brief cameo, as does original SHAFT director Gordon Parks; the only creator missing is Ernest Tidyman, who wrote the novel that started it all. And SHAFT fans, take comfort--Isaac Hayes's remake of his classic theme is as funky as ever. PS2 - Predator: Concrete Jungle VU Games brings PREDATOR fans the next installment in the gaming series with PREDATOR: Concrete Jungle for the PS2. This time, players are dropped into a sweltering 1930s summer to hunt for an Irish gang member. Things quickly deteriorate from there, with the predator being injured in an explosion predator shaft and activating his nuclear-based self-destruct sequence. However, instead of being destroyed, the predator survives (though the city around him doesnt). For surviving, he is exiled to a remote planet. One hundred years later, predators arrive to inform him that humans have found the technology he left behind on earth predator shaft and are using it to make technological jumps they arent ready for. Once again, the predator returns to earth, this time to clean up the mess he left behind. The game is mission-based, with players needing to infiltrate various gangs who have stolen different pieces of predator technology predator shaft and recovering it. Along the way, of course, various gang members predator shaft and leaders will have to be eliminated. Stealth mode comes into play in several missions, requiring players to stalk their targets while using the predator cloak to hide from others. Once the target is found, the predator can execute a number of different techniques to kill them, including beheading predator shaft and skinning the person. Due to the execution scenes, the game is meant for a mature audience. For these older gamers who enjoy the PREDATOR franchise predator shaft and action games, PREDATOR: Concrete Jungle will provide an entertaining return to the PREDATOR universe.
